i should tiptoe slowly

i should tiptoe slowly

and walk with ease

see i never stumble

nor fall to my knees

and pray the path be straight

and smooth and true and free

of arms that make me

trip or fall or falter

 

i should look intently

and watch each step

see what i hold

nor wander or gaze at another

and walk a straight path

unwavering and sure and know

my heart is true

for in my hands

i hold yours.
